Los Candelarias Streetscape Project

In the area along Candelaria and 12th street the city has requested bid proposals for landscaping, lighting medians, sitting areas, bike lanes, and signage. However, when the bids were received, they were higher than the amount budgeted for the project. The discrepency was due to the rising cost of steel. The city is currently looking at alternative funding options to complete the project.

The improvements are part of the North Valley Area Plan adopted in 1993.
